 MAS Youth

MAS Chicago also believes that young Americans –ages 14-23, with the right tools, skills, and knowledge, have the potential to bring about positive change in their communities, have the potential to bring about positive change in their communities.

MAS Youth identifies itself as a movement of American youth and young adults who aspire to answer the call of our Creator as put forward in the Divine Scriptures:

"And from among you there must be a party who invite people to all that is good and enjoin the doing of all that is right and forbid the doing of all that is wrong. It is they who will attain true success." (Al-Quran 3:104)

We work with young people to inspire them to understand, apply, and advocate divinely ordained values in the service of the common good. Our core values are service, equality, and justice.

MAS Youth Signature Projects:

To develop a model for young Muslims, MAS Youth provides spiritual programs such as:

 • MAS Youth Umrah:
For the last 4 years MAS Youth has been sending young men and women on a spiritual uplifting journey to the house of Allah SWT. What distinguishes the annual MAS Youth Umrah trip from an ordinary Umrah trip is that it is not limited to a spiritual uplifting. But it will also have a segment dedicated to inspiring the participants to carry the burden of da’wah and become activists in their communities to improve our Muslim society at large.

• MAS Youth Revive:

Spiritual retreats that provide youth an opportunity to become closer to God through prayer, inspirational lectures, and bonding activities. Many who attend such events describe it as a life altering experience where they emerge from it feeling much closer to their Creator and feeling the need to be mindful and thoughtful of others.

 • MAS Youth Give:

MYG's motto is “Serve the Creator by serving His creation.” To demonstrate the relationship between faith and activism, MYG mobilizes young people and instills the Islamic spirit of social responsibility.

  • Building Bridges, Serving Communities:

The White House is launching the President’s Interfaith and Community Service Campus Challenge, an initiative inviting institutions of higher education to commit to a year of interfaith and community service programming on campus. Based on our Islamic values of community service and collaboration, MAS Youth has responded to this call by mobilizing our youth to participate in Building Bridges.

 • MY Connect:

In order to develop the youth Islamic knowledge, strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and sisterhood, and give back to their communities, MAS Youth created MAS Youth Connect. MAS Youth Connect gathers a group of 5-8 members, usually with a mentor, to form intimate study circles and recruit participants to work ON various MAS youth projects.
