Over 600 attendees were inspired during a night of poetry

with Dr. Tamim Al Barghouti

Thank you letter by MAS Chicago President

Dear Community Members,

Asalamu Alaykum Wa Rahmat Allah Wa Barakato.

The Muslim American Society (MAS) - Chicago chapter would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU  to all community members who attended the night of poetry event with Dr. Tamim Al-Barghouthi. Alhamdulillah, the event was very successful and had an overwhelming turnout!

By holding such an event, we hope that we were able contribute to the promotion of liberty and justice as noted in the MAS mission. Ultimately, we seek to build an American Muslim community that is politically empowered, civically engaged, fully protected in the areas of civil and human rights, and able to contribute to the advancement of society, both in the United States and the world.

Also, we want to remind everyone about our upcoming Annual Fundraising Dinner on Sunday May 1st. The theme of our event is: Yes, for Building a Brighter Future. We will have a distinguished keynote speaker Br. Sharif El-Gamal, the developer of Ground Zero Mosque in Manhaten, NY. We will share important updates about our expansion project and other upcoming major activities.

Once again, thank you for your continuous support and we hope to see you all on May 1st.

Muhammad Anan, PhD.

Chicago Chapter Head, Muslim American Society (MAS)
